Thought for the week

When there is nothing left but God,

That is when you find out that God is all you need.

Live today to the fullest, because tomorrow is not promised.

Holland

The project in Sierra Leone is continuing. The Out Patient Clinic is still busy as ever.

It has been a long process that started in June/July 2008. But today January 6, 2009 I am glad to let you know ....

thumb_bib-numberthumb_we_did_itSunday afternoon June 8, 2009, the morning started very early to get ready for the race. Getting into the car we noticed that it looked rather grey outside and it started raining. After driving around the Riverfront Park area for a parking spot, we got ourselves organized with some garbage-bags for rain protection and walked over to the starting line. January 14, 1980 – 2008

thumb_ana-historyIt’s hard to believe that today, January 14, it is 28 years ago we put our 8 suitcases and ourselves in the train to Schiphol Airport and flew to Greece to start our adventure with Mercy Ships. For me, Marianne, it was my first flight ever and little did I know that flying and sailing would become an ordinary part

of my life. Here we are, a little older, a little wiser thumb_lakos1980(hopefully), still serving God.

No longer living on the m/v Anastasis, and the reality is, there is nomore Anastasis. We have made Sierra Leone our home. If you click on the different possibilities left on this screen you can see what we have all been up to. In the meantime we wish you a great day and week :)

And you can always let us know what you think about this site.
